Touching down at 131 City Walk, Blank Cultural Platform is a new creative hub in the heart of Civic — a home for forward-thinking arts, culture, and collective experimentation.
Blank Cultural Platform opens with SPACE CATHEDRAL: an immersive, multidisciplinary experience combining live music, performance art, and large-scale audiovisual installations. Inspired by progressive futurism, Gothic iconography, and the story of Galileo, SPACE CATHEDRAL transforms Civic’s familiar built environment into something reverent and otherworldly — inviting audiences into rare feelings of the sublime, majesty, and transience.
A special live performance will be delivered by Aphir, a Canberra expat recognised nationally as an ARIA, AWMA, and Music Victoria Award–nominated audio engineer, songwriter, and producer.
Blank Cultural Platform also opens as Civic’s only rooftop bar, serving… (sighs) out-of-this world drinks. Guests are strongly encouraged to dress for the occasion — as if visiting an ancient cathedral in space, rediscovered thousands of years into the future.
SPACE CATHEDRAL marks the opening of Blank’s airlock to new collaborators, audiences, and supporters. Guided space tours will run throughout the night for those interested in arts-inspired workspaces, studios, or hosting their own cultural projects in Canberra.
Your ticket helps fuel future missions. Funds raised from this space launch support local artists and producers through the Blank Activation Lab, equipping emerging producers with the skills to realise their ideas, and the You Are Here Club, providing subsidised support for artists to sustain their creative practice. Developed by The Blank Corporation, in partnership with You Are Here, the two local organisations will produce immersive experiences and offer shared workspaces and studios, galleries, facilitation rooms, and event spaces supporting Canberra’s creative ecosystem.
