The legendary Hoodoo Gurus will headline Symphony in the Park with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra at Enlighten Festival 2024!
Join us on Sunday 10 March to rock out with this ground-breaking Aussie band who first began playing live shows in pubs and clubs in the early 80s, and had a string of hits including “What’s My Scene”, “Bittersweet”, “Like Wow Wipeout” and “I Want You Back”.
The band split in 1998 then re-formed in 2003 to record “That’s My Team” for the National Rugby League. They were inducted into the ARIA hall of Fame in 2007, being heralded as one of the most inventive and exciting rock’n’roll bands Australia has ever produced.
Forty years on and the band continue to be trailblazers, and this collaboration with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra is not to be missed!
“We’re really thrilled to be doing Symphony in the Park. It’s going to be extraordinary. The last time we performed in Canberra was 2017 and we can’t wait to get back there.” – Dave Faulkner, Hoodoo Gurus founder and songwriter.
