Image Description: An image of the National Library of Australia in which the façade of the library is covered in brightly covered projections. Eight columns are lit up in turquoise edged with bright yellow. The roof of the library extends out over the front façade and it lit in vertical lines alternating orange and grey lines. 7 Panels of the face of the library are filled with projections archival images from the 1950’s of people sorting apples and oranges in a factory. The building is reflected in a perfect mirror image in a pool of water at the base of the image and people are sitting at the edge of the pool looking up at the library, with their backs to us, the viewer. Behind the building the sky is a deep blue with shattered clouds as night begins to fall.
