Explore the national attractions after dark with a range of exclusive free and ticketed events.

Tempt your tastebuds at Enlighten Alley, BentSpoke Beer Garden and Canberra Night Noodle Markets. Find out more here.

Installations

Wander through the Neon Night Garden, a touchable and interactive neon installation of things you might find in a garden. Or take a photo in the Neon Archway before heading over to Bloom, presented by National Capital Authority, an epic landscape of giant gum nuts and gum nut flowers.

Keep the kids entertained with Chromatica, a 6.7m long take on the classic childhood kaleidoscope. Or have a go at playing the Light Chimes, with bespoke touch boards to produce a sonic cloud of notes like a wind chime.

For the most insta-worthy installations, you’ll need to check the big, 80s themed Monsters Love You! (But might eat you…), and Sal the Snail, a 4m tall neon inflatable snail. Find out more here.

Neon Archway, by Carla O’Brien, will be an instagrammers delight at Enlighten Festival 2020.

The Enlighten Illuminations Main Stage, located in between Reconciliation Place and the Reflection Pool, will be filled with one great musical act after another.
