Enlighten: Beyond Presents Wild Night Zooventure at the National Zoo and Aquarium This is more than just an evening tour of the zoo! Have the zoo to yourselves, enjoy a motorised tour, dinner and a sundowner stop with drinks!

Your experience includes an exclusive giraffe feed, a guided motorised tour to see the animals, and a unique African Sundowners moment, snacks and soft drinks served in front of the animals. While parents relax with a drink, kids can join a scenic hayride on the tractor, with the option for parents to accompany them. The evening concludes with a picnic dinner alongside our rhinos, complemented by beer, wine, and soft drinks.

What to Expect on Your Wild Night Zooventure

• Animals you’re likely to see: Rhino, Zebra, Cheetah, Dingo, Deer, Elk, Giraffe, Ostrich, Meerkats, Monkeys, Koala, Tree Kangaroos and Wallabies.
• Combination of motorised travel and some walking, with each vehicle having its own guide and driver.
• Please note not all animals are active at night, and the full zoo won’t be covered, but the experience includes extra activities to make it a true adventure.

Before You Arrive

• Check in at least 10 minutes before your tour at Carpark 4 (Rhino/Bistro carpark). To reach Carpark 4, drive through carparks 1, 2 and 3 and follow signage.
• Wear weather-appropriate clothing.

Photography

• You’re welcome to take photos, but please avoid flash photography in both Jamala and the zoo.

Minimum Ages

• Minimum age for the experience is 2 years.
• Children aged 2–6 can only ride in an electric vehicle or the Hummer; ages 4–6 can also ride in the Viking.
• Parents may bring their own child seat or request one from us.
• Spaces for young children are limited—please book early by calling 02 6287 8400.

Weather Cancellations

• Tours may be postponed at short notice due to rain, as some vehicles are open-sided.
• If cancelled before starting, you can choose a new date, receive a credit voucher, or a full refund.
• If cancelled mid-tour, dinner, African Sundowners and drinks will still proceed, and you’ll receive a proportionate credit or refund for the missed section.
• Credit vouchers can be used for any tour, encounter or admission.
