From the commissioning of Australian Parliament House – when 25,000 high quality furniture pieces were commissioned – and through its 32 year history as its Art Collection grew to over 7,000 works – both art and furniture have been integrated into the building’s design detailing, symbolism, ethos and philosophy.
Our guide shares the stories of the pieces in the Marble Foyer, The Great Hall, Members Hall and the Main Committee Room, discussing design, history and symbolic meaning. As your tour walks you through Parliament House you will start to unravel the rich layers of meaning and thought behind each piece.

- Photographic identification is required for entry into these events. Ticket holders that cannot present valid photo ID at the security check-in will not be granted access to Australian Parliament House.
- Parliament House has a range of COVID Safe measures in place – please assist us by not visiting if you feel unwell.
- When you book your tickets using the GET TICKET link, please provide the names of the guests accompanying you. We may share this information with ACT Government health officials for contact tracing purposes. Please include children and infants when you book tickets so we can ensure people of all ages are counted for capacity reasons.
