Peek and you shall find

1 - 10 March

Do you like surprises? Because we do. At the University of Canberra, we love surprises so much we decided to create a special art installation, full of secrets for you to discover.

Our original plan was to create an enormous artwork expressing our love for everything Canberra. However, we soon realised that building a huge WE HEART CANBERRA sign on a hillside might mess with the parade of cute dogs being walked up Mount Ainslie (and nothing should stop the puppers, guys, nothing).

So thinking outside of the box we decided to create something surprising inside it. With the help of local artist Tom Bolland we created an experience that’s a little bit quirky, a little bit Canberra, and a whole lot of fun.

Curious? Head to the Enlighten Illuminations and look for an installation that looks like a huge blue monolith hiding 12 unique artworks. To see the art, you have to be close. Very close. Like, skin-against-glass close. Lean in, press your eye against one of the peepholes, and discover an extraordinary world within.
