Do you want to know the lie of the land? See the city as a site of imagination? Feel the restorative power of place on a collective walk in the dark?

If so, join us on an illuminating stroll around the Lake Burley Griffin foreshore. Make your own walking drawings, and explore land, water and sky stories as sites of sharing.

Held in celebration of International Women’s Day. Your ticket supports local artists.

Meeting point

Our tour begins and finishes at the Kings Ave Lookout at the northern end of Kings Ave Bridge. Please arrive 10 -15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to start to check in!

Closest parking is in Blackall street, Barton, near Charles Sturt University.

Public transport

Our tour is accessible from Canberra’s City Centre via Transport Canberra. Bus numbers 56, 59, run from the city depot. The closest bus stop is Edmund Barton Building (Stop ID: 3012), just a block away from the Kings Ave Lookout (where we start the tour).


The tour is suitable for e-scooters and wheelchairs.


Rug up! This is an outdoor walking tour so wear warm, water and wind resistant layers.

Walking shoes. 1.5 hours, we will be walking approx. 3kms, so wear comfy shoes you can trust in the dark.
