Night walking is a matter of going astray. Join Localjinni for a night walk where we put art back on the streets, screening works by some of CBR’s leading lights, on a mobile film and sound show. Let’s explore the city’s many intersectional identities together on a promenade around the Lake’s foreshore with LGBTIQA+ safe guides.
Enjoy a wonder wander, including experimental and archival film, dance, visual art, animation, songs, and social yarning. Spotlighting CBR’s underground art and activism through site-responsive stories, in celebration of International Women’s Day and World Pride. Make your own digital drawing along the way.
Held in association with Pride Weekend @ Enlighten Festival. Supported by ACT Government’s Zero Emission, Capital of Equality Programs, Australian National University, and Contour556. Archival material supplied by National Film and Sound Archive, National Library of Australia, and National Portrait Gallery.
