5 March

Add to favourites

Canberra Day @Enlighten Festival will offer up a series of workshops for you to experience and explore you creativity.

A free multilingual poetry writing and performance workshop with Mother Tongue, designed for people writing in languages other than English. The theme of the workshop is a poetic celebration of Canberra.

Multilingual poets Vesna Cvjeticanin and Karina Bontes will lead both poetry writing and poetry performance exercises to get the words flowing from your pen and your lips in a friendly and supportive way.

Suitable for those who want to try writing poetry for the first time, or poets who want to be stimulated and inspired. It is also a great opportunity to meet other writers working in languages other than English.

As part of the Enlighten Festival, the theme for the workshop will be Canberra in Poem, and there may be the opportunity to share your writing on stage in Commonwealth Park on Canberra Day, Monday 14 March.

This is a free event, but booking is essential.
