Enlighten Festival transforms Canberra into a hive of activity from 28 February – 15 March. See beautiful illuminations and installations the festival is renowned for; enjoy live music and performances

Forget FOMO, join us to Switch On, thanks to ActewAGL, and mark the launch of Enlighten Festival 2020 on Friday 28 February. You’ll be the first to see the attractions illuminated simultaneously.
You can’t experience Enlighten Festival without witnessing the Parliamentary Triangle come to life through large-scale projections on iconic Australian buildings like Parliament House, the Museum of Australian Democracy or the National Gallery of Australia. Snap a picture in front of the Enlighten Illuminations, which run from 28 February – 9 March with amazing roving artists, live bands and enchanting performances.
Gooey chilli caramel, delicate cherry blossom cream, crispy pork belly burgers and fresh vegetable dim sim. A mouth full of adjectives has never sounded so appetising. Tantalise your taste buds and tease your Insta followers at the Canberra Night Noodle Markets (28 February – 9 March).
Get your phone ready, you’ve only got one night to see Balloon Glow, presented by the National Capital Authority. Join us at Switch Over on Friday 6 March on the eve of the Canberra Balloon Spectacular when the Enlighten Festival transitions from dusk to dawn.
Get down to the lawns of Old Parliament House to witness the Canberra Balloon Spectacular from 7-15 March, as more than 30 balloons from around the world will flood the Canberra skyline. This event has long been a favourite for keen photographers, so early risers are in for a treat. Not-so-early risers, we have coffee and breakfast available onsite to make it worth your while.
