Canberra is transformed as it opens its doors to host live performances, tours and talks, exhibitions, dining events and other surprising experiences over nine illuminated nights.

Imagine a beautiful autumn evening in the Parliamentary Triangle and beyond with some of Australia’s iconic buildings aglow with architectural projections while exclusive after-hour events take place within.

The whole family can enjoy free and ticketed events at the National Gallery of Australia, National Library of Australia, National Portrait Gallery, Questacon, Museum of Australian Democracy, and beyond the Parliamentary Triangle at the Royal Australian Mint, National Museum of Australia, National Film & Sound Archive, National Zoo & Aquarium, National Archives of Australia, Parliament House, Australian National Botanic Gardens, Gallery of Australian Design, Canberra Contemporary Arts Space, and Canberra Theatre Centre.

Free entertainment will shine a light on the Parliamentary Triangle, creating a festive atmosphere with everything from off-the-wall street performances, elaborate cabaret and trapeze, Indigenous music, short films and enchanting light installations.

Catch a late night glimpse of intriguing exhibitions or soak up the atmosphere of outdoor entertainment. Canberra is open till late during ENLIGHTEN 2013, showcasing the cultural gems of our nation’s capital.
