How to get here

Enlighten is held across various attractions and includes an outdoor Entertainment Hub in the Parliamentary Triangle. The Entertainment Hub offers a range of free entertainment options, food and drink and licensed bar areas.

There are many ways to get to Enlighten 2013 and the Entertainment Hub, including:

  • Riding your bike
  • Driving your car
  • Catching an ACTION bus
  • Catching a taxi
  • Strolling from the city

Riding your bike

As a special reward for riding your bike to Enlighten, the following events will offer a reduced ticket price if you present your helmet when you buy your ticket at the door (subject to availability) – Australian Cinema’s Golden Summer, Questacon by Night, Bukhu, The universe in a local wine glass, The Morning Star, Show us your mandate, Sticks Stones Broken Bones and Kungkarangkulpa: Seven Sisters Songline. Bike racks are available within the Entertainment Hub and at various participating attractions.

Taxis may drop off and pick up at various locations within the ENLIGHTEN 2012 Entertainment Precinct.

Parking

There are various free public car parks throughout the Parliamentary Triangle. There is also free public parking at each of the participating attractions.

Walking

If you feel like taking in the amazing autumn sights of Canberra, the Enlighten Entertainment Hub can be reached on foot. As a guide, the Canberra Centre to the Enlighten Entertainment Hub, via Commonwealth Avenue crossing over Commonwealth Bridge, takes approximately 40 minutes to walk.
