Canberra Day

Celebrate what's great about Canberra
12 March

Canberra is turning 105 this year! Join in the celebrations with a program bursting to the seams with live music and entertainment for all.

The stunning landscape of Commonwealth Park will provide the perfect backdrop for your family day out. Enjoy the thrill of amusement park rides or indulge in a tasty treat from local traders. Snap a cute photo after visiting the face painting station or relax with a picnic to the sound of live music.  Kids will dance, play and laugh as the Lah Lah’s Big Live Band provide the perfect sound track to our city’s birthday party.

Music will fill the air later in the afternoon, getting your heart pumping and feet moving as you sing and dance the day away. Multi-platinum Brisbane sibling super-group Sheppard will headline the Canberra Day concert. Former Triple J unearthed winner Ali Barter, Nicole Millar from Peking Duk fame and Canberra’s own Lucy Sugerman will also take to the stage.

Be sure to grab a CBR shirt to dress to impress or a CBR water bottle to refill at our water stations. All your favourite CBR merchandise will be available for purchase at the information tent.
